Leads and/or supports investigator initiated research from design through funding application, study execution, and dissemination of results (presentation and publication). Produces and interprets results for presentations appropriate to the intended use and audience, including summary tables, written reports, oral presentations, and journal publications. Provides scientific and programmatic oversight for research activities conducted by physicians, nurses, and other professional research investigators as well as analytic and programming staff. Serves as principal investigator on self directed research and/or as co-investigator on collaborative studies both internal and external to the institution b>Minimum Requirements: Established record of research accomplishment, including a history of significant participation in extramural funding (previous NIH funding is a plus)Strong author publication record in peer-reviewed journals with demonstrated expertise in an established area of research interest Knowledge and experience with qualitative research, or mixed methods, and a history of collaboration on multi-disciplinary or transdisciplinary research teams b>Education/Licenses/Certifications: PhD or MD/PhD or other equivalent terminal degree in a discipline appropriate to the research area under study
