The Inova Schar Cancer Institute (ISCI) Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center is the largest multidisciplinary program in the region with expertise in melanoma, advanced non-melanoma skin cancers, transplant skin cancer, and cutaneous T cell lymphoma. The ISCI is seeking a board certified dermatologist with an interest in melanoma, skin cancer, and skin-related adverse reactions, to join our group of four dermato-oncologists. The multi-disciplinary program also includes medical and surgical oncologists, dermatopathologists, ENT, plastics, as well as advanced practice providers and nurse navigators. The ISCI includes regional cancer centers and programs at four additional locations. Most recently, the ISCI opened the Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention Center, a unique multidisciplinary cancer early detection center. The ISCI is a state of the art facility and includes the latest tools to enhance early detection of melanoma, such as 3-D whole body mapping.

The position will be divided between (1) melanoma and skin cancer screenings at our newly opened Saville Cancer and Prevention Center; (2) onco-dermatology supporting patients who develop adverse skin reactions to immunotherapy and other systemic therapies; (3) participation in melanoma and skin cancer multidisciplinary clinics. There will be opportunities to participate in clinical research. Members of ISCI also will have the opportunity to apply for an academic position at the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
