We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at 1275 York Ave Main Hospital Rapid Results Lab!

You Will:

• Review requisitions and order entry orders to verify the accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enter required data into the computer
• Prepare specimens for testing or send out to another laboratory for testing utilizing the laboratory computer system
• Maintain a complete, accurate, and organized file system, filing addition/correction sheets, requisitions, and reference laboratories results according to laboratory guidelines
• Maintain an organized and secure supply area and reagent storage area to ensure easy access to reagents, chemicals, and supplies
• Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area

You Have!

• High school diploma/GED + 1-2 years of proven experience
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent information management skills to communicate, explain, interpret, share, and present information to laboratory and hospital staff

Hours of Work:

Monday - Friday, 11p-7a, every 3rd weekend rotation; onsite
