This job manages all functions and activities within the Center of Excellence or other designated unit, including implementing clinical trials, designing and developing protocols, collecting and processing human specimens and clinical data, and acting as a liaison to both internal and external investigators and industry representatives. Complies with all institutional, federal and international regulations and ensures that proper subject protection is in place. Responsible for training and developing staff and supporting and facilitating the research conducted by Physician-investigators.
Maintains a professional and mutually respectful and trusting relationship with physician-investigators and peers in the Office of Research, Research Pharmacy, Clinical Trials Unit, BioBank and other similar entities in corporate and operations
Develops personnel and workforce to ensure adequate staffing and coverage
Promotes growth and ensures operational profitability; develops and maintains a productive relationship with representatives from the industry and clinical research organizations
Participates in the development of and supports the implementation of technology to improve the outcomes in clinical research
Ensures physical and technology infrastructure meets functional needs and promotes employee and patient safety; participates in the development of and supports the implementation of technology to improve outcomes in research
Oversight and management of all Covid 19 current and upcoming clinical trials
Primary role will be infectious disease and/or multi-specialty trials

Required - Bachelor’s degree
Preferred - Master’s degree
Required - 5 years experience in clinical research including experience with both clinical and pre-clinical research and proven success in implementing clinical trials, writing research protocols, developing presentations.
Required - Professional certification from a recognized research organization (ACRP, SoCRA)
