The goal of the Clinical Research Strategic Partnerships (CRSP) Office at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) is to expand access to clinical trials and cutting-edge cancer research that raises the standard of care at both community-based hospitals and academic centers. We are seeking to hire a Research Project Manager (RPM) to join our team in supporting MSKCCs CRSP Program.
Our program consists of three MSKCC Alliance Partners (Hartford Healthcare, Lehigh Valley Health Network and Miami Cancer Institute) and two Strategic Partners (Norwalk Hospital and Hackensack Meridian Health). This is an exciting opportunity to join the CRSP Office working with protocol activation in collaboration with external sites.
Manage the activation functions and activities of assigned projects within the research organization.
Work with the CRSP Clinical Research Manager (CRM) to help organization of protocol activation and start-up for our external partners:
Manage trial identification process in collaboration with MSK leadership and external site leadership
Work in partnership with MSKCC study teams, sponsor/funder contacts, and external site teams to perform feasibility reviews for trials identified
Communicate with CRM on any potential resource and capability questions identified in the feasibility process
Serve as the primary contact for external site staff including site PIs, study teams and site leadership.
Oversee and manage staff responsible for sub-contracts, budgets, and submission of invoice reports for work performed on associated projects; review and verify expenses outlined in agreements.
Oversee and manage staff responsible for trial identification and confirmation of feasibility
Manage and report trial identification and activation metrics to CRSP management and MSKCC leadership.
Assist with high level department projects requiring data management support.
Extract, compile, and analyze data to generate reports for leadership.
Participate in special projects and task forces as determined by management. Support the work of CRSP leadership to accomplish research goals.
Provide oversight and support to one Research Project Associate and one Clinical Research Coordinator.
Work on departmental initiatives relating to clinical research data management, specifically database management to ensure the highest quality data for the clinical research programs.
Have in-depth knowledge of the processes/procedures associated with clinical practice, clinical research and/or a strong information systems expertise in the latest technologies.
A Bachelors degree with at least 4 years of experience in clinical research and/or other applicable research investigation OR a high school diploma with 7 years of clinical experience.
Knowledge in clinical trial regulatory and safety management preferred.
Masters degree preferred. Masters in biostatistics a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Access, database knowledge.
Experience with basic SPSS required and platforms like STATA and R a plus.
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology required.
Ability to solve problems by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
Proven ability to manage clinical research projects with strict deadlines.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the regulations pertaining to human subject protection (including 21 CFR and 45 CFR 46 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
