The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University seeks a full-time academic pathologist, at a rank from Assistant to Full Professor, commensurate with experience and accomplishments. The successful candidate will be based at Emory University Hospital, a tertiary care center serving the Atlanta metropolitan area. We are seeking an academically-oriented pathologist who is board-certified or board-eligible in molecular diagnostic pathology. Additionally, candidates with board-certification, board-eligibility, or extensive training in pathology informatics are especially encouraged to apply. Emory is the only academic center to have generated 3 presidents of the Association for Molecular Pathology (2 of whom are still with Emory). As one of the top NIH-funded Pathology Departments nationally, we offer outstanding opportunities for scholarship and collaborative research. Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to develop a basic, translational, and/or clinical research program, and will be encouraged to develop research collaborations with faculty of the Winship Cancer Institute, Georgia’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The successful candidate will also have strong diagnostic and teaching skills. Please apply online and provide curriculum vitae and names of three references.
