The Orthopedic clinical research analyst will develop and support a robust orthopedic research, quality and outcomes program that supports the entire service line including the inpatient components, Total Joint Program, Spine Program, Rehabilitation, and the Outpatient Physician Practices.
This individual will take on a variety of research projects related to the practice of orthopedic surgery. Potential topics for research include clinical outcomes; patient reported quality of life outcomes, and health economics.
Essential Job Duties:
Plan, direct and evaluate extramural and collaborative research, and advance individual surgical research within Orthopedic Service Line
Identify sources of funding and contribute to the process of securing funds
Present at conferences or exhibit work at other appropriate events
Establish relationships and collaborate with AAMC s Research Institute, and simulation staff
Qualifications:
Master’s Level Education; PhD in biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, public health, or a related field
Word processing and computer proficiency and ability to create reports in both Microsoft Word and Excel
SPSS Advanced Statistics knowledge
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
