Chair, Department of Gynecologic Oncology Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, America’s first cancer center and New York State’s only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center outside the New York City metropolitan area, seeks an academic leader at the professor level to serve as Chair of the Department of Gynecologic Oncology. Roswell Park is a mission-oriented institution focused on the prevention, treatment and cure of cancer. The Department is totally focused on clinical care, research and education in gynecologic oncology. The successful applicant should have an outstanding record of accomplishments, experience in coordinating and administering multidisciplinary programs, and a willingness to foster transdisciplinary collaborations across programs and departments at Roswell Park and across other academic institutions. Responsibilities for this senior leadership position include overseeing all clinical aspects of the Department that includes the delivery of high quality, safe, and efficient patient care, teaching, supporting research within the cancer center, strategic planning, and managing the overall operations. Successful candidates will help build upon the Department’s existing strengths, and work to provide the vision and academic leadership that will bring the Department to the next level of excellence. Experience in grant writing is also preferred. Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has a robust clinical trials program with highly innovative approaches to cancer immunotherapy, cellular therapies and personalized medicine. Applicants are required to be BC/BE in Gynecologic Oncology and be eligible for a NY State Medical License.
