The Clinical Research Manager provides overall coordination of the Research efforts of the Cancer Center and multiple Principal Investigator's, The Clinical Research Manager supervises Cancer Center Clinical Research staff, including but not limited to, Clinical Research Nurses, non-Nurse Clinical Research Coordinators, and Data Managers. The Clinical Research Manager works directly with Cancer Center Clinical Research Assistant Director, Director, P.I’s, and Cancer Center Research and Clinical staff to ensure that all internal and external regulatory agency policies, procedures, practices, and law are adhered to by all clinical research personnel.The Clinical Research Manager also reviews all protocols for to ensure that the appropriate resources and staffing are available. He/she should have extensive experience in managing clinical research study activities and have a background that may include patient care, bio statistics, data management, and clinical research. The Clinical Research Manager carries out broad assignments with minimal supervision. He/she uses independent judgment and experience to solve all but the most complex problems
Required: 6 years’ work related experience of which 4 years
must have been in Research or Clinical Research. 1 year supervisory or managerial
Preferred: Experience in oncology research
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing or related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in relevant field.
Required: Certification required: SOCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates), or ACRP (Association of Clinical Research
Preferred: Professionals) Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI), HAZMAT, CCRP or
Required: Computer literacy, good working knowledge of
Good Clinical Practice guidelines, IRB review and
Federal regulations. Must maintain appropriate
Professional competencies. Must have appropriate
Training in the protection of human subjects within one month of hire
