Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC) seeks a highly collaborative and innovative clinical administrator to oversee a wide range of outpatient services as it continues to serve patients and advance the boundaries of cancer care. The Executive Director will join CSMC during an exciting and transformational time marked by enhanced service offerings and rapid expansion in support of world-class cancer treatment, research, education, and community engagement. Today, CSMC is the largest provider of cancer care in the Los Angeles area and the second largest in the state. Expert care for over 60 types of cancer is provided to more than 30,000 patients each year at many locations throughout the region.
The Executive Director, Cancer Clinical Operations will play a critical role in supporting a variety of state-of-the-art, compassionate outpatient cancer care services across CSMC. To this end, the Executive Director is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and standardization of clinical practice operations, human resources recruitment, deployment and engagement, financial management, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance of outpatient services at the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center. Overseeing a wide range of outpatient services within cancer care, the Executive Director will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team functioning as a catalyst for effective change at the both the institutional and department level. The Executive Director will support strategic integration across CSMC and act as a resource for best practices aimed at providing expert services throughout the continuum of care for cancer patients throughout Southern California.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will unveil the new Samuel Oschin Cancer Center in 2020. This new, state-of-the-art facility will combine world class medical care with compassionate support. With a full compliment of services for adult and pediatric care, the new cancer center will feature upgraded treatment areas, a patient and family centered layout, streamlined physician workspaces, and comforting interior finishes. In addition, Cedars-Sinai will also be opening a new Breast Health Services Center which will provide the most advanced treatment for breast cancer and other breast-related diseases designed to address the overall physical and emotional needs of its patients. The new Executive Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the new facilities and workflows are highly responsive to patient, caregiver, and staff needs.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of demonstrated success in advancing outpatient clinical oncology operations at a cancer center or relevant setting along with the ability to effectively lead change within a fast-paced, rapidly-growing organization. The ability to handle both high level strategic planning and operational execution is critical as is a thorough understanding and commitment to excellence in cancer clinical operations.
