We seek a Clinical Research Coordinator to join the Laboratory of Investigative Dermatology at the Rockefeller University. Our group is focused on the study of cutaneous inflammation and autoimmune mechanisms in human skin. The major disease under study is psoriasis, which is recognized as the most prevalent T cell-mediated or autoimmune disease in humans.
You will serve as a research project coordinator for multiple research protocols related to skin diseases. Responsibilities include:
Recruiting human subjects, obtaining medical records and performing intake evaluations
Maintaining direct communications with patients
Coordinating Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and on-going reporting
Creating and maintaining case-report forms and research databases
Contributing to the preparation of grants, IND submissions, presentations, and manuscripts
You Have/ You Are
A Bachelor's degree in science or nursing
Prior experience with conducting clinical research trials under Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
A minimum of one year of experience working directly within a Human Research Protection Program
Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong computer and data management skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
A collaborative team member who also possesses the ability to work independently
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments, maintain workflow, and work productively in meeting critical deadlines and milestones
Even Better If You Have
Previous experience managing patient databases and organizing patient samples
Experience working with biological specimens (e.g. blood) is desirable

About The Rockefeller University
The Rockefeller University Hospital is funded by the National Institutes of Health and has 20 patient beds for clinical research. The Hospital provides researchers with an opportunity to conduct clinical studies, and offers both normal volunteers and people with diseases under study the opportunity to stay in the hospital and help to contribute to important advances in science. The Hospital has an inpatient unit as well as an outpatient center where prospective patients are screened and many outpatient studies are conducted. The Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day with professional nurses and has nutritional research, social work, art and recreation departments, and a radiology suite as well as its own research pharmacy.
