The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute (UFHPTI), located in Jacksonville, Florida, has an immediate opening for a Research Coordinator. Responsibilities include coordinating research activity related to protocols and data extrapolation/submission. Also responsible for consenting patients to protocols, preparing protocol-related forms/documents for submission to the IRB and reviewing medical records to identify possible protocol patients. Individual will assist in the education of staff about protocols and research and will ensure that pre-established work scope, study protocol and regulatory requirements are followed. Responsible for developing and maintaining record keeping systems and procedures.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of one (1) year prior work experience in research to include working with the IRB. Oncology experience strongly preferred. Current BLS certification required. BS degree required, preferably in nursing. Experience working in an academic setting is helpful. Research certification a plus. Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations as they pertain to human subject clinical research is preferred. Excellent computer skills required.
Must be skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be detail oriented and understand good clinical practices and principles. Ability to format and generate summary and presentation reports.
