The Learning Analyst is responsible for assisting the team with creating measures of learning effectiveness, analyzing data, and summarizing data into actionable opportunities for improvement. This position will support measurement, reporting, and analysis for all learning interventions and events encompasses within the HR Learning and Development department. The primary focus will be to ensure baseline metrics are captured across all operational teams, gain alignment on performance thresholds and finally measure and track performance both pre-and post any learning event. The analyst designs and documents weekly and monthly reports and helps identify trends in historical reports and assess critical outcomes. Additionally, this role would provide ad-hoc reports and/or dashboards for self-service to reduce redundant requests. Position reports directly to Director and currently does not have direct reports.
Ability to independently lead, plan, and manage data analysis and data presentations to all levels across VUMC.
Advanced Excel ability to drive analytics.

Experience analyzing and documenting business processes.
Experience communicating the results of analysis with the use of visual representations for data.

Analyze varying degrees of data complexity, summarize key data themes, and present the most critical information beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions.
Prepare and build reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Monitor the integrity and validity of the data reported and able to provide details about data and analyses for all levels with VUMC.
Provide insights and analysis on key metrics of performance for in class training, on the job training, on the production floor and for any ongoing learning activity.
Communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver reports.
Provide summary documentation on the acquired results of the analysis, including suggested next steps.
Works with internal teams to automate or streamline the data collection processes.
Partner with Learning Consultants to enhance training through participation in and support of cross-functional improvement initiatives.
Position requires Bachelor's Degree
Two plus years in a role where analyzing and presenting data was involved.
Proficient with Excel for data analysis.
Basic experience in Tableau or other data visualization tools.
Experience in building reporting tables or presentations where visual representation of data was used.
