Primary Purpose of this Job (Main Function): Urology research assistant will perform administrative and clinical duties to support subject care with research activities; screen for potential study candidates, determine patient eligibility, prepare charts, assist with regulatory documentation, and will perform physical clinical assessments.
Job Specific Competencies:
Provide assistance, where directed by the lead research coordinator, in specific tasks relating to the preparation of both on-going and new project studies.
Assist with required regulatory submissions (e.g. preparation of essential study documentation from start-up through conduct of study).
Maintenance of study drug accountability processes (e.g. maintains drug logs, temperature logs, assist in dispensing / retrieving study drug from the subjects).
Actively monitors all the subject visit related activities, and ensuring clinical assessments and subject data are within protocol guidelines.
Assist with monitoring and audit visits, clarification of subject data, and query resolutions.
Participates in physical clinical assessments to support protocol requirements (e.g. vitals, laboratory, and other urology assessments as directed).
Demonstrates professional accountability and flexibility to meet subject schedules and job demands.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
BS in health sciences or related field, or MA / any nursing background with at least 1-3 years or research experience preferred
Skilled in MS Office suite
Exceptional written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Must have knowledge of ICH and GCP guidelines, current certificate
Must be comfortable with physical clinical assessments and urology procedures
Demonstrate completion of IATA training or must complete within a few weeks of hire
Knowledge and experience in EDC (electronic data capture) and electronic diaries
