The Penn State Children’s Hospital of the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, is seeking pediatric endocrinologists at a rank of assistant or associate professor to join its active and expanding Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. The six-faculty team is supported by a team of five nurses, two nutritionists, and two administrative assistants. Additionally, one social worker and two pediatric psychologists are working closely with the team. The Division is active in endocrine and diabetes service, interested in research and clinical trials, and was awarded Best Children’s Hospital by US News in 2012-2013. We seek individuals with excellent clinical and teaching skills to provide patient care and education.
The Department of Pediatrics has a strong interest and presence in both laboratory and clinical research, and maintains an active Office of Clinical Research. The freestanding Penn State Children’s Hospital is a 151-bed, University-based, tertiary/quaternary care pediatric center serving a population of 2-3 million. It is the leading children’s care facility in the picturesque Central Pennsylvania region. On-site access to an NIH-funded GCRC and a multidisciplinary Penn State Institute for Diabetes and Obesity offers additional areas for collaboration.
