The Grantand Contract Analyst is responsible for the negotiation of commercial andfederal contracts and awards including budget, terms, and amendments orappeals\.In thisposition you will:
Develop and negotiate contracts with commercial and other research sponsors to include budget and terms acceptable to investigators, sponsors and SMC\.
Act as a liaison with sponsoring agency and Investigators as needed to modify awards or contracts\.
Monitor spending levels on restricted research accounts to insure that expenditures stay within budgetary limits\.
Authorize use of restricted funds for requested expenditures in accord with institutional policies and procedures, federal regulations, budgetary guidelines, or other appropriate factors\.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree \(BA or BS\) in Accounting, Public Administration or related field from college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience\.
Minimum of one to two years experience and/or training in financial coordination of federal grants and/or contracts, accounting methods, or other financial tracking and reporting responsibilities\.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Minimum of two years experience in grants & contract
