Description: The Research Informatics Analyst 1 (RIA 1) will provide data consultation and analytic support for clinical and translational researchers in the Children’s Colorado Research Institute using large database and data analysis techniques. The RIA 1 will consult on the data requirements of research studies and provide data extraction from the Epic electronic health record and other institutional data sources. The RIA 1 will assist with export of datasets to multi-center data coordination centers or registries. The RIA 1 will partner with the Children’s Colorado Research Organization to provide analytic support.
Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in informatics, computer science, health-related field or similar. Master’s in related fields such as Public health or MS Informatics preferred. Prefer 3 years experience in clinical research or clinical research informatics. Experience in the analysis and integration of research datasets to support researchers. Experience in providing analytics to research projects. Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex problems and data. Demonstrated experience in database management, query design, and related report writing skills. Self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, including communication with research and administrative staff. Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office products, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Word. Experienced in the use of SQL querying using SAS and report building using Crystal Reports. Experience with descriptive statistics and analysis. Experience with Big data techniques helpful. Prefer experience with EPIC Clarity and SAS.
